    Woohoo! New laptop!

    Posted by Blackharrier32 - July 23rd, 2009

Yes, yes, yes! Finally, the world of mobile computing is mine :)

I've wanted a laptop for ages, because recording anything except the most basic of voice files with a desktop is extremely difficult. Also, given that I'm moving out of home to college next year, I thought that it had become a pretty necessary purchase. So I got myself a rather gorgeous Compaq CQ60-212EM today at a ridiculously low price :)

    Nice. What are the specs?

Why thank you, also good to hear from you again :)

    Specs are available here: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/ie /en/ho/WF06b/321957-321957-332974 2-89318-89318-3884562-3927358.htm l?jumpid=reg_R1002_IEEN

(the name given on the website is CQ60-313SA but they're identical)

    Pretty good specs.

They are, aren't they? I'm a sucker for all things nVIDIA. A local computer warehouse was having a clearance sale, so my girlfriend and I swooped on a couple of these babies, and then some extras :) They told us when they had reduced the price to below-cost selling, and then reduced it some more...

Great. I can't wait until I can afford a laptop, Would you recommend this?

Absolutely, depending on your needs. It's not quite a high enough spec if you plan to do some intensive gaming or whatever, but for general internet and home office use, as well as recording and the like, it's punching way above its weight in terms of value for money.

    Your a lucky man!

Yes, yes I am. Thanks for reminding me. :)
